  • MONTROSE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT

    Montrose, Pennsylvania

    Any citizen of this Commonwealth, having a good moral character, being eighteen (18) years of age or upwards, and having been a resident of the district for at least one (1) year prior to the date of his/her election or appointment and a resident of Region 3, which includes Apolacon, Choconut, Forest Lake and Silver Lake Townships and Friendsville and Little Meadows Boroughs, are eligible to apply for this seat.

    The appointee will serve the unexpired portion of the vacant seat until the school board election in November 2027. The unexpired term is until December 2027.

    Letters of application, which will be received at the District Administration Office until Friday, September 4, 2026, should be addressed as follows:

    Letters of application should include name, address, telephone number (day and evening) and resume. Interviews will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Junior-Senior High School Auditorium. The board will appoint one candidate for the vacancy at the September 14, 2026 Board Meeting.

    Applicants should be available for one (1) work session and one (1) regular meeting per month, as well as occasional special committee meetings that may be held.
