  • MONTROSE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT

    Montrose, Pennsylvania

    Any citizen of this Commonwealth, having a good moral character, being eighteen (18) years of age or upwards, and having been a resident of the district for at least one (1) year prior to the date of his/her election or appointment and a resident of  Region 3, which includes Apolacon, Choconut, Forest Lake and Silver Lake Townships, are eligible to apply for this seat. 

    The appointee will serve the unexpired portion of the vacant seat until the school board election in November 2029.  The unexpired term is until December 2029.

    Letters of application, which will be received at the District Administration Office until Wednesday, August 5, 2026, should be addressed as follows:

    Letters of application should include name, address, telephone number (day and evening) and resume.  Interviews will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Junior-Senior High School Auditorium.  The board will appoint one candidate for the vacancy at the August 10, 2026 Board Meeting.

    Applicants should be available for one (1) work session and one (1) regular meeting per month, as well as occasional special committee meetings that may be held.

  • A vacancy exists in the following position effective beginning with the 2026-2027 school year:

     

    PERSONAL CARE AIDE

    Current Assignment – Autistic Support, Choconut Valley Elementary School

    6½ hours per day, 180 student school days, $15.00 per hour with individual fringe benefits as per the current MESPA Collective Bargaining Agreement

    Note:  All support staff positions may be reassigned in accordance with the needs of the school district and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

    LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE ELEMENTARY GUIDANCE COUNSELOR


    Assigned to Lathrop Street Elementary School

    September 8, 2026 through approximately March 5, 2027

    PA Elementary Guidance Counselor Certification Required
